Murray Park – Salt Lake County

Location: 5109 S. State Street, Murray

The bridge and the pathway are closer to the east side of the park, and the orange wall is the snack bar is near the middle of the park. There are endless places for pictures here ranging from ponds,
flowers and a few “urban” type spots, like the wall.

Riverwoods – Provo – Utah County

Located at 4800 North University Avenue in Provo.

The Riverwoods in Provo is a group of specialty shops near a trail that runs along the Provo River. The river area is usually green and full of trees and there is the occasional bridge which make great settings. The shops can lend a fun urban feel right near the river. It also has some fun design in it’s Townhomes and Condos, but be aware, these are all privately owned so be careful of when you go and respectful of residents. Nearby are open fields and just a hop away from the mouth of Provo Canyon.

We’re Here For You!

As a photographer I often struggle to find great locations to use for portraits and other needs.  I decided we Utah Photographers need one place we can turn to find great locations near or far that we can use to meet different portrait needs.

So here it is.  If you are a photographer and find a fantastic location, don’t keep it a secret.  Send me an e-mail and give me information on the location, where it is, how to get there, public or private, if there are fees involved and anything else you can thing of.  Incude a picture you took at the location, properly watermarked with your logo but so that we can see what is so great about it, and you will recieve full credit for the image we post with the location information.  If the location is private or requires permission, please try to include contact information so that we may get permission to post it on this site for other photographers to contact the owners for use of the locations.

Also, if you have any suggestions or ideas on ways we can improve this resource, please let me know!  I love to hear of ideas that will benifit us ALL!
